The logo/mark is a combination of a traditional tetrahedral atomic structure to represent ICSCRM and Lake Biwa with red maple leaves falling into it to represent the conference location at Otsu in October. Lake Biwa is the largest lake in Japan and is a famous Japanese symbol, as well as red maple leaves which appear in Autumn in Japan.
